Our long anticipated ditching and water survival course is back after a long hiatus. (we needed some years to collect a bunch of life-rafts and survival equipment for real-life experiential training with!).

This course is highly valuable for both general aviation aviators and passengers given WOA's frequent international flying tours and also our members' very active private flying lifestyle all over Asia and given our geography is surrounded by water bodies such as oceans, rivers and lakes.

Contact membership@wingsoverasia.com to for costs and registration details. Course is only open to members' only.

Login to see course syllabus details & more photos below. WOA will issue a participation certificate as well. Don't miss this as the course will not be repeated once our survival equipment is used up. Lunch is provided.

We will cover the following topics with hands-on training.

  • Presentation on ditching procedures, safety/survival equipment and water survival need-to-know
  • Practice evacuation procedures from light aircraft in event of ditching
  • Practice proper usage of life-vests & techniques of getting into life-rafts
  • Knowledge and usage of search and rescue equipment and basic first-aid usage
  • Use of emergency pyrotechnics and rescue signals
